Make sure your DLLs have their executable bit set! If you have cygwin installed simply use chmod a+x filenames from the cygwin command prompt. From many versions of Windows you can probably also do this from the shell context menu (right-click on your DLL file) and going to Properties, but it seems that you cannot do this from Windows XP Home Edition.
